Transportation Services

The Office of Student Activities offers several transportation options for students, student organizations and the University community as a whole.
  • Spider Shuttle: The popular Spider Shuttle offers students regularly scheduled, round-trip rides to local malls and other locations, including the airport and Amtrak station. In 2007–08, 1,875 students took advantage of the Spider Shuttle.
  • Downtown Express: In the fall of 2008, an additional van was added to offer direct round trips to popular destinations in Richmond’s downtown areas.
  • Vehicle Reservation: The Office of Student Activities currently has four vehicles that the University community may reserve—three vans and one SUV.
  • GRTC Bus Passes: The University provides free bus passes for the Richmond public bus system for all degree-seeking students. To obtain a free GRTC bus pass, complete the registration form through Parking Services. Get information about GRTC routes and schedules.
